Bryn Mawr College’s Campus Plan will touch upon all aspects of campus undergraduate and graduate life, including student space, academics, accessibility, dining, dormitories, libraries, athletics, administrative space, and buildings and grounds. At the conclusion of the twelve-month process, we will have a road map for our next ten to twenty-five years of capital projects which is aligned to the strategic initiatives and core values of the College. The Comprehensive Campus Plan will be guided by a Steering Committee appointed by President Wendy Cadge, with three Working Groups representing the Student Experience, the Academy, and Institutional Space & Grounds working in an advisory capacity. There will be opportunities for the entire campus to engage and contribute throughout the process, starting in September 2025.
The Comprehensive Campus Planning process will enable a vision of maintaining the beauty of the campus’s original buildings and landscape while also reflecting the increasing diversity and creativity of our community through public art, technology, signage, open space, and landscape design strategies. We will also investigate opportunities to adopt new technologies and enhance existing ones, to maximize resiliency, and to enable institutional innovation across all academic and operational areas. If you have any questions or thoughts regarding the Comprehensive Campus plan, please email us at comprehensiveplan@brynmawr.edu.
The plan process will include many opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and stakeholders to participate and lend their voices to the plan through engagement exercises that promote inclusion and collaboration. The workshops, surveys, and interactive exercises provide opportunities for campus and community stakeholders to envision a campus that reinforces Bryn Mawr College’s commitment to academic excellence, provides a supported and holistic student experience, advances a community that is invested in access and inclusion, and positions Bryn Mawr College’s external visibility.
Working Groups will be an important part of the planning process, representing a thoughtful cross-section of the campus community in three key areas.
